Hey everyone-

Just passed my MSF course yesterday, getting my license endorsed this week, and beginning the hunt for a Ducati Monster 696.

Rode dirt bikes/quads most of my younger life (I'm 22)
Avid Philadelphia flyers fan and I've been playing guitar for roughly 10-11 years (PRS Custom 22 ten top, blue matteo finish, brazilian wood back/neck)
 

Trying to avoid buying new (even though I hear buying used is a bit of a gamble), if anyone knows of a used 696 for around $8,500~ and isn't older than an 08-09, in the PA/NJ/DE area, let me know!

Welcome aboard and good luck in your hunt. I also got a 696 as my first bike this year, and I am very glad I did!

did you buy new or used? im interested to know if i could get a good enough deal on a 13' in jan/feb that dealers are looking to get rid of.

I bought it new and paid MSRP. The dealer saw me coming from across the street.

Actually I have a love/hate with them since I'm from Philly originally.

And if you're feeling industrious, you could search further out. There's a decent number of folks in the Balto and DC areas and something like a 696 isn't uncommon to see for sale.
