 The ugly bike was featured on the Cafe Racer tV show, and at the end of the "build" when it was taken for a ride the brakes kept locking up. If you look closely(wear dark glasses), you will see that the front brake reservoir was removed and an inch of clear tubing was it's replacement.
Evidently they failed to consider that brakes heat up, and the fluid then expands. With nowhere to go it expands into the calipers. I now understand why a small fluid tank is not such a hot idea. At least if you intend on using the brakes much!

It'll expand into the tiny reservoirs just fine. Blow the caps off em if it needs to.

Sounds more like they mis-adjusted the levers and didn't leave the fluid return ports open.
