Ok, where is everyone. I am feeling like everyone sold their bikes while I am picking up a Super Light today. It has needs new tires and a battery, maybe belts and has I think FCR's but will have to look closer. I know some of you have seen it. The GPR exhaust came for my 01 SS and the sanding is about 1/3 of the way done. The belts and the race-tech valves and springs are on the way also for the 01. The house in Los Lunas sold so I will be looking up in the Northern area for a place now. Maybe this will start this place up now.

Spent Christmas making the NY-FL drive. I'm not much for the bearded guy's birthday anyway, but I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. More importantly, have a healthy, happy and interesting New Year.

As usual, any of you who might want to escape the winter out in the high desert should contact Barb and I- we enjoy having company here in Cape Coral. And it's warm!
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

I've wondered the same thing lately, Handensco.  Congrats n the new hardware, anyway!

Glad you guys survived the trek to FLA, Nik.  Not a fan of the land of flatness, but this time of year........

I do miss my peeps as well and I'm guilty. Would have liked to spend more time with Nic and Barbara before they had to leave.
Furthermore, I didn't make the annual get together with my dear friends Ashley and Scott.
I'm glad to have spent some time with my family in Tucson. Playing soccer with my 10 year old great niece and climbing trees
with her 7 year old sister and being befriended by their 21 month year old sister Emerson was priceless.
As a bonus I got to spend time with my niece Monika who flew in from Germany.

2013 fades today and I wish all my friends the very best for the NEW YEAR 2014! May all your dreams and goals come true!

I'm truly looking forward to the new year and hopefully to ride a lot more than I did this year, especially with you folks!  [thumbsup] [Dolph]

Knowing the weather in majority of US being bitter cold and my desktop showing Santa Fe at 11F, I sympathize! [coffee] It was 33F cold for few days with strong Atlantic winds, but yesterday was 70F+, its a bit lower and clear today. I couldn't resist and managed to get a new Yuasa on the old Jawa and kick it alive in about 5-10 power strokes after 1+ year of inactivity, it felt great riding it around... [thumbsup] The next project is to get a toggle switch in the circuit so the battery can be disconnected from the regulator that eats up the whole battery voltage when I shut off the contact key! Its a junky regulator and impossible find! I have a switch and am working on a custom bracket. I also need to either rewire the whole bike or figure the ancient headlight dome wiring next, its always inconsistent. I love that the old machine always provides a baffling problem, it is like loving a grouchy grandpa! ;D [cheeky]

I know the saying: Pics, or it isn't happening...

BUT: I am building an 848 in my garage part by part.  Goal is to address the handling issues (mostly due to lower grade suspension components) and have a fun, nimble street bike again.  Betty was good, this will be much better.

JJ: It's good to hear your Jawa is keeping you up at night.  If an old bike isn't breaking down now and then, what good is it?  [laugh]

Ducati is currently "touring" the US with the new Monster 1200.  They'll be at PJ's on February 11th.

Just FYI, in case you want to see the latest, greatest in the flesh.

Well I have been working on my bikes when I can stand being in the garage. No heat there. Two weeks ago I got my 82 wide glide up and going. We had a big flood in September and my garage got about 3 feet of water in it. The xr400r and the 80 fl were not affect. The fl is down to the frame and in the house and the xr400r is well made for that. I had to take the 82 down to motor and tranny and get rid of the silt and redo the clutch. It is running good. The beemer got a short which I finally found last week so I am fixing that maybe this weekend when it is warm. I am not sure about the 900ssie. I will get to that next. I do have a new 93 Superlight that I will change the brake fluid, oil and belts in the next 3 weeks depending on weather.
On top of all that we started moving out of our house in Peralta but the deal fell through yesterday. Not sure what to do about that now. I will keep moving I guess.

The only good news there is that you're working in the garage some....and that you own a 900 SS/SL.   ;D

Hope you get the house sold.  Nothing sucks like a home sale falling through!
