On TOB there was a thread about an airplane on a treadmill and whether or not it would take off.

It caused serious over thinking...

just as your conundrum about brake parts has caused you. ;D

Funny, when I do it that way, my calculator says you spent $184.65.

Pads, 35.99 + 41.99 = 77.98
77.98 x 0.65 = 50.69

Rotors 2 x 43.99 + 2 x 42.99 = 173.96
173.96 - 40 = 133.96

133.96 + 50.69 = 184.65

Response? Are we missing something?

It's a flat 35% off the way I'm doing it. $77.98 + 173.96 = $251.94 X .35 = $88, $251.94 - $88 = $163.94

Oh, you didn't tell us you could use the coupon codes twice.

~~~SNIP~~~
35% off any order over $50 with a max savings of $50
$40 off any order over $100
Obviously I'll need to split up the orders to maximize my savings.
~~~SNIP~~~

You said max savings of $50 when you use the 35% off, so *not* splitting the order will have you paying 251.94 - 50 = $201.94.

I remember being at a convenience store in Westland, MI (or Wasteland, if you prefer) years ago having a hard time deciding which beer or soda to purchase.

One of the locals asked me if I couldn't make up my mind.

I told him I was in a conundrum.

He said, "what?"

I then told him I couldn't make up my mind.

Unless he splits the order and uses the same coupon code twice.

Rudemouthsky

Set of front rotors and a set of front pads in one order. Set of rear rotors and rear pads in the other. It's an online coupon code, I didn't realize I was giving the impression it could only be used once.

Turn off the treadmill and the car will slow come to a stop, no new brake pads needed.

that was IMO a serious fail by the Mythbusters.  Only an idiot would think a plane flies because the wheels roll.   ;D
