The Laverda twin is supposed to have a more sophisticated feel compared to the big British twins.  The buzz that the big parallel twins make as the RPM's rise is not present with the Laverda twin.  The engine is nice and bulky and the frame also helps absorb any buzz. When Harris tried to make an aftermarket frame for this engine they quit after several attempts because the bikes would buzz. So they decided they couldn't do better than the factory frame.

It's a strong frame.

I've never ridden an English twin (actually, I might have ridden an 850 commando years ago), but if they vibrate more than a laverda I can't see how anyone could ever ride one.  I have tried many times to like the sfc, but riding them just leaves me bewildered.  like a 180 jota.  the later 120 tripe is nice tho, pity it's trapped in an old tech, heavy, evil piece of crap.

I've ridden British twins...never a Laverda.

The Nortons and Triumphs vibrated, but were manageable.

The BSA 650 would shake parts off along any length ride.

I've also ridden British singles. Those riders wore kidney belts for a reason.

I've not ridden english or italian parallel twins.

I rode an XS650 a bit, I found the vibration overbearing.
My friend who owned the bike didn't mind it.

500 and 600 Yamaha singles were OK, but at my tolerance limit.

I rode a Triumph 750 Bonneville for a few years, and for me, the shaking and vibration was a part of the ride I found invigorating. It feels and sounds like a real motorcycle. Like my S2R. My dad loaned me his Honda Gold Wing once. It sounds like a Singer sewing machine.  Not for me.
