Has there been anyone out there that has fitted the LSL URBAN / YAMAHA MT-03 headlight on their Monster,I am thinking of this item and want to hear any feed back on this or any similar units.

That's my tread in the first link. It looks alright with just the headligth but for it to really look good i think you need smaller gauges and a smart way to mount the headlight(I'm doing this now.)

I've used that headlight on other bikes. As far as illumination effectiveness goes, it seemed no better or worse than any other OEM incandescent.

Don't know if you have considered these for clamping, or a variation. http://www.speedmotoco.com/product-p/mla-lsl-fc.htm

Yeah i've seen them all over the place. I wish i knew what radical ducati did to get their MT-03....

probably a bracket that drops down from top tree. This is what i'm going to try and duplicate.

Agree, that is very trick looking. I suspect you are correct in that it comes down from the top tree, maybe integrated with the instrument mount.

I can foresee many hours spent developing the template because it needs to be close to the fork tubes without actually touching. Too far away from them would not make for a clean design. Do you have a mill to make the bracket out of billet?

Can't tell for sure, but to me that triple resembles an S&P model.

Thanks for the response, I like the way the one in the pic was mounted with internal fixation rather than the usual external brackets [drool]
I do fear that it may now have to wait a little while however because after almost 7 years with the same company I was called in on Monday morning and told that my position had become redundant effective immediately  [thumbsdown] so on Monday night I re-did my resume and the next morning started pounding the pavement , so to speak . Oh well ,on wards and upwards.
