hi there

just bought a 98 monster 400...only 10,000 miles on the clock, one owner. Living in Japan, you might ask ` why not a jap bike?'... well, I had a honda cbr600rr, kawasaki klx200, kawasaki zxr400 and I now have a suzuki skywave. Great bikes but no heart...I also ride a vespa ( very sloooow ) and my old car ( before having a baby) was an alfa 147 gta...so i guess Italian cars and bikes are in my blood. First things to do for the monster...bikini fairing, white decals, fender eliminator, new winkers...I have tuned my vespa quite a bit so in time, with some knowledge gained from the folks here, I hope to be able to add some more kph`s to the monster. Why a 400? Japan has strict licencing laws and the number of big bikes ( in japan, over 400 is a big bike ) is really small, even though you would have thought the opposite and my license allows me to ride up to 400 cc only.

regards

Welcome, I would have thought Japan would have a little bit of everything that left the production line. Although a 400cc bike with a 135 lb rider is probably almost as much fun as a 900 cc bike with a 220 lb rider.  [bacon]
