I'm sad to see him go, but the timing feels right.

I second that... it's a good time for him to retire.

I'd love to see him as the commentator for motogp/wsbk.

I read an interview of him, in an Italian sports news site, where it is clear that he has been affected a lot by Simoncelli's death.
Things which you do not forget, and stay in your mind forever. His, and even worse VR's, which was Marco's close friend.

CE would be a highly qualified, insightful and very, very entertaining commentator.
Always had a soft spot for him since he's half Aussie. They'd be crazy not to offer him a job.
Half Aussie + half Texan = entertainment.

He may be a bit too truthful for the job, at least as far as the official folks are concerned.

Personally, I think he'd be awesome.

I read an article about his motorcycle training camp which was dirt track on little XR's.
