Of the 2052 miles and 13 states I drove through this past week, you my friend, are the worst.

THE LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING ONLY!!!!

[bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]

I need  [shot] after 250 miles on my way home because of you. I tolerated you on the first leg of the trip because we were on the way, but now I just want you to make the beast with two backs OFF!

That is all. Now to my  [shot] [drink] [wine]

Its not just OH, people like to relax in the left lane in PA as well :(

Sorry, but Ohio is the worst. Like I said, 13 states and they have the crown. Not only that, but what other state has a posted 55 mph on a major interstate? That is absolutely offensive in this day and age. Its not like I havent made my way through Ohio before, its just this time really got to me. Must be getting old.  :-\

Monsterlover

I guess so.

Not sure where you were but the highways I'm usually on in OH are 65.

Wait, did I just defend OH?  Forget I said anything ;)

This...

there are a couple of sections in NH on both 93 and Rt3 that have 55 limits.

The limit further north o 93 has been increased to 70 again.

The fuktards in SoCal use the left lane for relaxing too.

Probably easier to text over there (less merging traffic). >:(

drivers blocking other drivers from passing in the left lane is on the top of my list of things that i can't stand
but, it seems to be the trend no matter what state you are driving in

i've noticed in the past couple of years that the right lane is always empty
this forces people to use the right lane for passing, which isn't how it's supposed to work

RIGHT... it's the new left  [roll]

Monsterlover

If I have to pass someone on the right they should feel shame.

How about this one -

The 79N on ramp is a right, left, right.  Curves are all sweepers. I'm generally doing 65 and accelerating by the end of the left.

Many times people like to turtle through there doing maybe 40. They carry that speed all the way to the highway then pick up speed *after* they've merged into the travel lane.

Recently this happened to me and as you might imagine I was going insane behind them.

Traffic was moving at 70ish, they got into the right lane as soon as they could but well before the on ramp/merge lane ended.

I dropped the hammer, passed the turtle (who is now in the travel lane) using the remainder of the on ramp, moved in front of them and went on my merry way. Cursing them and smiling at the same time.

Not too often you get to pull off that move :D

how about this one... this was just a few months ago

2 lane highway, there is an asshat in a volvo wagon cruising at 50 in the left lane next to a car doing the same speed in the right lane - speed limit is 65. i am the second car behind asshat volvo wagon, there are at least 6 cars behind me that i could see. after a mile or so, the car in front of me gives him a flash of the lights to let him know he is holding up a line of traffic - asshat volvo wagon does nothing. another half a mile, car in front of me flashes lights again - and this time asshat volvo wagon slams on his brakes - then speeds back up, and then... comes to a complete stop on the freeway. car in front of me locks 'em up, as do i - a few of the cars behind me are off the road and now into a 1ft snow covered grass median. asshat volvo wagon then speeds back up to catch the car in the right lane, and then matches his speed again, so no one can get by. thankfully my exit came up in the next half mile. hoping the asshat got what he deserved - a big fat ticket and a beating.

TiNi,

That's a recipe for a shooting or other tragedy. I travel about 80k per year via car and have seen/heard many things. When I approach situations like that I just drop back, waaaayyyy back.

Glad you're safe, it's just not worth it.

thanks rb :) i'm fine
the only tragedy suffered was my laptop, purse, and all of it's contents scattered on the passenger side floor,

if i had a gun it might have been me doing the shooting  ;D
seriously though, i never expected asshat to come to a complete stop, no one did - who does that?

It's in the Asshat rule book.

That's some fine motorin' right there.

I have to say, my first thought at reading they stopped was that may have been a sweet spot to get around them. I wasn't there though so who knows.

make the beast with two backs em.

I believe it's legal to PIT maneuver them in that situation.  [laugh]
