Seriously digging this show!

The first one came around before my time but I'll probably watch that one too.

Dr. Tyson explains things wonderfully and it's fun when he gets passionate and excited about a particular subject.

Also, whats the name of the piece of music that was played by the Abbey organist in episode five?  It's a dramatic piece that I've heard before...

Anybody else watching?

+1.  Me like science.

And, agreed, de Grasse Tyson's enthusiasm and explanations make it entertaining.

I like Tyson as an educator and science popularizer ... But the show
Seem to jump around too much.  It's not bad, just a little chaotic.

I think it's a case of trying to fit ten lbs. of stuff into a one lbs. bag.  And they need to keep everyone's attention, too much stuff can be overwhelming for some and not as entertaining as needed for ratings.

The kids and I like the show.

I am a nerd at heart and like the show but I wish they had a better illustrator. The flashback to the dark ages cartoons are pretty bad.

science is the work of the devil.
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

+1.

The original had the benefit of Sagan. While I like Tyson a lot, it seems like the new show is paced too fast. Still miles ahead of anything else on TV, though.

I thought for sure you guys would be talking about the chick on the Ducati in the episode on red shifts and blue shifts [clap]. Enjoyed seeing a gorgeous bike in a show that pisses off creationists [thumbsup]
