While I like having more factories in MotoGP and I can totally understand why the marketing dollars are better spent there than WSBK... I've always sorta liked the fact that the brands that weren't in MotoGP spent their recent dollars on making the bikes that ruled WSBK.  The ones that you could buy... zx-10r, s1000rr, rsv4, etc.

That being said, looking at Ape's recent sales... I think the old adage of win on sunday/sell on monday is pretty much dead.

Well, considering that Honda is ahead in points in both series, the point is mute. People today have access to a wide variety of tools to help them in the decision to buy a bike. Racing is used to a lesser extend. Not to mention that general viewership has declined dramatically in the past 10 years.

I think Max testing the ART is a ploy to get attention. In theory Aprilia could enter their "prototype" as an open class one-off entry. Ducati does exactly the same with TB. They look to the past to get people fired up about their bikes. We are then sourly disappointed when mere mortals are unable to make it go as fast as our 2-wheeled idols.
