I'm a bit puzzled by the radical nose-down toward the end of the flight.

Shorter jumps were fine.
But on the 80 meters he lifted off the throttle about 2/3 arc, and nose came down.
Lifted off about the same on the full jump, but had more altitude, so more rotation.....

Dirt bike folks get taught pretty quickly that closing throttle in the air drops the front.
Little short car, 4WD, big honkin' tires.
Perhaps it was mechanical?
I think if he had kept the pedal down, he would have been OK.

Does the chassis rotate around the motor or wheels kind of thing while the wheels have no traction? Hmmm. Makes sense.

Like a Guzzi or early BMW; at a stop, goose the throttle and the bike leans over.
Same principle, torque used to accelerate the flywheel has to be reacted against something.

Motocross guys do it all the time, throttle on to raise the front, throttle closed and/or step on the brake to drop the front.

I'm surprised the EMTs were on foot and not waiting on running ATVs.

Dirt bikes rotate off the back wheel. Not sure how that works with front wheels driven as well.

Yep, amazing the control you have in the air with the throttle....

Wonder what sort of difference accumulated snow would make.
