Shout Out To Earth X Batteries

I ordered an Earth X li-on battery from Bellissimoto.  The bike was having electrical problems that were likely due to some bad relays (would run for ten minutes, then die, then come back to life a couple minutes later, then die, repeat, etc.).  Fixed the relays and put in the stock Yuasa and the problem went away, so I sent the battery back to Earth X to have them diagnose it.  Even though it's likely the relays were the source of the problem ("correlation does not mean causation"), and they said their diagnostics showed the battery was good (so did mine - I put it on an Optimate charger, which not only charges but diagnosis as well, and it showed it to be a good battery) they sent me a brand new replacement.  Turnaround from the day I mailed it to the day I received the new battery was about ten days.

Earth X is a Utah company that makes all their products in America.  The battery I bought is about two pounds - about seven pounds and some change lighter than stock.  Thanks Earth X!

How long have you had the Earth X? It's come up on my radar and I was considering it for my next battery because of the internal battery management system.

I just installed the new battery today - so far so good, which is to say a huge improvement from the problem I was having.  I took the bike for an hour test ride and had no problems.  It's crazy light!  Without a doubt the cheapest way to drop seven pounds from the bike.  I know there are other makers of li-on batteries (Shorai, etc.), but being made in America sold me, and the customer support didn't disappoint.

They're out of Colorado, btw, not too far from where I work.   :D

question.... if you buy from belissimoto and then have to deal with the mfg.... why did you not go straight to the mfg to purchase?

most companies like that will sell direct to the customer, cutting out the "dealer" who marks up the price and drop ships it from the mfg to begin with.

why pay somebody to do nothing?

So...much...this.

Earth-X batteries...Carrozzeria wheels...Braketech rotors...all of these companies and many more will deal directly.

Because I bought a ton of parts at once, they gave me a bulk discount, and I don't feel like having to chase suppliers for parts (like Braketech, which is notorious for slow turnaround and took forever to ship the rear rotor - a rotor that my local shop said they'd never seen because they'd never been able to get Braketech to ship one, though Bellissimoto did)?

I don't know what that has to do with this thread  ???  This is like the third time someone's tried to jack a thread, and I've only been here for a couple posts.  The tone of this place kind of turns me off (it's not just the threadjacking - even mods seem aggressive and rude), so I'm just going to delete my account.  Thanks I guess?

Someone would have to be a few degrees short of hysterical to be offended by that statement.  ???

Since he says he is checking out to avoid all of the rudeness, I'll restrain from explaining why an Optimate charger is not recommended for a LiFe battery unless it is their newest model.

I bought my Zard pipes from Bellisimoto, they gave me a military discount and it was cheaper than buying direct from Zard. Most makers will charge you the same as someone like Bellisimoto.

but if you as the end customer have to deal with the mfg when there is a problem, why hand any money to a third party?
