Off - and I used an angle grinder to remove 1.5" of the seat along the bottom edges  to allow the frame to show more, and then recovered the seat.

Pobs better with a contrasting colored frame, but...

ooo i've always thought about doing that.  thanks for the pictures.
My fast lap is your sighting lap.

Nice work X. The overall effect of the bike is great.

A VFR750 in the background too. Great bikes and my favourite VFR big bore. I used to race NC30/VFR400s. Awesome little jiggers.

Kept them off with my DSS m620, loved the extra exposure for the trellis frame. Tried it that way with my s2r1k too, but the extra space near my left heel caused a fight between my foot and the chain, so put them back on.

Thanks guys! I think I need to shave another 1/2" off the seat bottom to make the line perfect, but since it was my first time re-covering a seat I could stand to do a better job so will prob rip it off and have another go soon. [Dolph]

All these pics makes me wish the Evo had a full trellis frame all that much more.  Maybe I can get someone to make me one......

It's the seat that came with the bike. I modded it and re-covered it myself.

I've actually thought about doing the same thing to my stock seat.  For now I'm running the DP gel seat for comfort reasons, but it just doesn't look as good to me.  I want to shear off an inch or two like you did, as well as cut off the protrusion that forms the "glove box" on the bottom to give more visual space under the seat.  Beautiful bike, btw.  I can't help but think how stunning she would look with a red frame.  Man, that would pop.

yeah a red frame would pop! I guess it's a matter of stripping the whole thing down and... I'm a new rider so a bit intimidated by that job.

Boom Tubes to clean up the back end and lose the wheelbarrow butt.  [thumbsup]

Na, those twin high pipes look great. Especially the dark mufflers which fit in with the darkened scheme.

I do have to give it up for the silver paint job on the Arrow Logo. Much better than the stock yellow & blue Logo. +1
