Dremmel the holes into ovals and use wide washers.

Any solution for the fuel pump?

Any solution for the fuel pump?

I think I can grind out the holes like Memper suggested. Kinda set that aside for now.

Bad news from my engine tech...pretty pissed about the delay but it is what it is...so I'm taking the heads back from him and sending them to Ducshop for porting and rebuilding to console myself...needed a silver lining.

And finally unwrapped my PC'ed goods...exceeded all expectations...the swingarm has gone from my least favorite part of the bike to one of the sexiest...it looks dripping wet...HOT! I about popped a boner.

DP fender looks great too...pretty much settles my inner debate between the black or bare aluminum;

Headlight ring PC'ed as well...such a tough finish even I couldn't fk it up while I was struggling to get it in the carbon bucket with the Trucklite;

So, now that the engine is getting delayed again, I need to do more performance related mods to kill the time....so heads will get shipped off for porting, and I'm considering "swiss cheesing" the primary gears ala Dub Luv...adding an SBK light oil pump...already have the Nichols flywheel...hrrmm...any suggestions?

Put everything else together  ;D

Do you have the exhaust yet?

Haha I'm going to, as soon as I get my forks back from Speeddog. Then roll it around the garage making vroom noses.

I planned on reusing my RoadRacing exhaust. ..but now I kinda want MIVV cans...will make way better power than the RR.

Yes, I am bored, and wish I could really put my bike together so for now I can just pretend with what I have..

You can almost imagine what the front end will look like!

Does the last pic look squashed, or is that just my monitor? Photobucket edits have an odd time delay.

Any ceramic coating or polishing on the RR cans?

I painted them and they look like crap...and they'll probably get crappier when they're fired up. I will likely have the cans ceramic coated, it's funny you should ask. I have black wrap for the pipes...but should probably ceramic coat those as well. My only concern is this caveat from BHP:

http://boneheadperformance.com/ceramic-coating/ceramic-coating-break-in-procedure/

I like exhaust wrap...just not sure I like it for *this* bike...the problem is I did a VERY Mickey Mouse job of modifying the RR exhaust to suit my 900, used a sleeve and very poorly done tack welds. The wrap hides that; you can see the subtle bulge in this old photo.

If I keep the RR exhaust, it would look marvelous to ceramikote everything, but it would behoove me to have the exhaust professionally welded first.

haha, you're not missing much but thanks. :) In fact, since the tech I hired to assemble my engine has now told me it could be WINTER before it's done, I have lost all faith in his competency...and now need a new one. Mark Sutton is willing to do it but he's BIG $$$$...my other options are Matt Carr @ Ducati Indianapolis who has a glowing reputation, European Cycle Service or FBF.

So now that the original guy has cost me 3 months  [bang]  [bang] [bang]  I'm back at square one. :( I'm open to referrals....

Go with Matt. I've seen his work. Dudes an EPIC engine builder. Well worth the $$. All of those guys there are top notch.

Good to hear, thanks. They're about 6 hours from me, not a big deal. Would be a good excuse to drive out to CA, work, and pick up my motor otw back.

A better look at the cases, covers, and heads.

Even my new Ricks starter is a looker;

On the road now...need to earn more cash to keep throwing it at this bike...
