I've of simple green, positive feedback from those that use it.

I like using S100. It removes grime and dirt really well. For those hard to reach spots I use a cleaning brush like the ones used for car wheels. After hosing the bike down and final rinse I use an air compressor to dry up the engine and wiring.

you'll probably need something stronger than simple green for really cooked on grease on the engine.  Kerosene and a toothbrush will work.

S100 here too......take it from Joe, he really knows how to clean!!!

Gunk "Engine Bright" foam for the engine works for me too....just keep it off the pretty stuff...

Kerosene sounds like fire hazard?  Am I paranoid?
Always one to be underestimated

Cycle Gear should carry it. If you have any CF on your bike make sure to quickly rinse off any S100 you get on there as it will remove the clear coating on it. Don't ask me how I know that.  [bang]

Otherwise, that stuff work really well.

Shout works really well, seriously.
