I want to put LED headlight bulbs in my 2013 Monster 796.

I found these:
H1: http://stores.advmonster.com/h1-led-headlight/
H7: http://stores.advmonster.com/h7-led-headlight/

Anyone here try them?    I'm a little concerned they may be too deep to fit the headlight bucket.

I don't believe those fit entirely inside the bucket.  It looks to me like all the (cooling fins and control box??) nonsense sticks out behind the bucket.  The little metal flange looks shaped like a regular headlight bulb, so only the piece in front of that would be inside the bucket.

I have the same LED bulb (Cree XM-L2) in a flash light rated @850 lumens, and I can say that they are pretty bright and the beam throw is ~300+ft. That said LED lights are very directional, so if the reflector housing is not right, you might not have an optimal beam/flood.
The flash light I have uses a 3.7v battery and gets pretty hot after an 20-60 minutes of continuous operation. With the 12v and probably a higher current draw on the duc, you should keep a close eye on any wiring the heat sink touches and also ensuring some air flow around it to keep the heat moving.

I spent the weekend with the owner, great guy. About 4 or 5 of the other riders had one or more of his products. Everyone loved what they had and highly recommended his product line. I have a 2001 Monster and he took the chrome ring off so the headlight unit would come out. It won't work on my year / model because the cooling part has to have access to air flow and I would have had to move the entire headlight assembly forward about 2" and cut a hole in headlight bucket just to have room for the cooling vent. Not recommended.
Now I have ordered a couple of his Model 60 "off road" flood lights. The light one threw off was short of amazing. It's a contained unit so the light is focused but does have some width to the light beam.
I ordered some brackets that will fit my fork tubes where I'll mount a pair of the 60's as soon as I get them. I have an HID headlight so I'll wire it to be on all the time (when the bike is running) and wire the 60's as my high beam so I can use my Flash To Pass in daytime traffic.
