Hi,

Is there anyone who has installed a SportsClassic front light on a M696, M796 or M1100? I thought on changing the headlight of my M796 for a round unit, classic looking and such a Monster characteristic. And of course, if you are to remove the front headlight looking for a classic touch you better change the race gauges on the M796 for a classic analog one.

Has anyone done that? Is it doable?

I'll head to my local dealer and bug them with it. I'll post if I find something useful.

bump    wondering the same thing. i hate the digital dash -- would much rather have analog gauges



is that impossible?

A little info I found on another forum was that because the Monster and the Sports Classic have different ECU's then swapping the speedo's/gauges if not doable.

My limited mechanic skills can't support or refuse the argument, so I just pass it over, maybe someone can tell us why

Concerning the headlamp I see no reason why it wouldn't work with the right supporting hardware.

Now, it would be nice to put all those together and get a Sports Classic looking Monster 696/796/1100!
