Hello

My sight glasses came up missing during the teardown/powder coat process so it seems like a good opportunity to go with something like this in stainless:



Or maybe this in a billet aluminum:



Question is, are they threaded or press fit? if threaded I could go with something cool like this:



If press fit there are other options:





All of which are something unique and different, which I like!

So, does anyone with oil sight glass knowledge know the type and dimensions I would need to order?

They're press fit.  I can dig up an extra and measure it, but not until lunch time.

It's kind of funny how we tend to think of certain parts on our bikes as proprietory to Ducati when they're not. Ducati didn't have a special size sight glass engineered specifically for them, this is a common part in the chemistry/chemical industry.

Anyone? I need either the O.D of the press fit portion of the seal, or the dimension of the hole...no engine here to measure

Sorry, don't know the OD of the seal from the inside. Don't know if its stepped, flange or straight. Someone will.

Just press it out real quick and measure.

There's one on the 'Bay for like $8..mebbe I'll order it just for the learning experience.

Good to compare to anything custom you buy, just to be sure.
