As usual I'm fascinated with ze Chineze.

My guess is all of the following are made at the same factory; HANGZHOU HAIJIU...because they all look alike.

"Skyrich Battery"

Looks just like this Advance Auto Parts brand, "Autocraft"

Which looks just like this one by "WPS"

Which looks just like this  "JMT"

Check this one out, the reviews are glowing. 270 cca, $100

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DCXIJJG?pc_redir=1414654268&robot_redir=1#immersive-view_1414805986584

The "Autocraft" version is available in a 320 cca with an extra set of +/- terminals, which might be useful to someone. $150 with a coupon. 260 cca version is $100 with coupon.

I suppose someone is going to snort and scoff about a Chinese battery, but HAIJIU/Skyrich is Ducati's OEM lithium battery supplier...and if I'm right, Haijiu makes all the above batteries.

Seems like they're worth taking a chance on, for a good 50% savings. And the red ones are nice lookin'. :)

From what I have in written from the factory, the LiOn battery they're using is coming from "Yuasa" unless this factory is making them for "Yuasa"  ???

But, with that announcemt . . . I wonder if we will get them as an "official" accessory for all models . . .  Again ???

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

Yeah, I saw that Motocell too. Seems like the name changes depending on the market, the JMT ones are in the UK.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I've been thinking about getting a light lithium battery.  The Advance one sounds good.

Be sure to Google the $50/$75 off coupon. That puts the 260 cca at $100 and the 320 cca at $149, second in price only to the MMG and Advance is very good about walk in warranty replacement.

While at the AIM expo I saw that the BatteryTender booth had their brand of LiOn batts also.

BTW, don't know if there is a reliable source to define CCA ratings for LiOn batteries in regard to similar ratings for lead acids. Seems to be a consumer left unaware situation. Might be an apples to oranges situation.

Those nifty capacity indicators on some are probably just crude voltage indicators.

What's the story to this? Obviously an overcharged LiOn battery overheat and catch fire, burning down the car? Is that your claim? If it is, then more detail would be good (and fair).

I think an overcharging fuse in the battery is important in case the RR doesn't do it's job. That allows the battery to sacrifice itself before becoming molten. I have heard of a LiOn battery turning to molten lava and destroying a bike, but cant verify it. Maybe someone here knows.

Pretty sure those are made by Haijiu also...

He's not claiming that.  [roll]

Chinese brake levers were supposed to kill us all too. :P

Battery management systems and cell balancing are what my next battery will have. I want a suicidal battery rather than one that wants to take everyone with it.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.
