My slave seals are leaking. i hear Evoluzione  is out of buisness. Does anyone know if where i can get rebuild parts? (or am i going to have to just break out the caliper measure up and try mcmasters?

Either that or buy a new slave.  The material must be brake fluid compatible.  Off hand, EPM and EPDM is what I think of.  Before buying anything, disassemble and inspect the bore.

ibroke down and bought a new slave since I wasn't confident enough to take mine apart and begin sourcing the leak and parts.

Will be interested to see how it comes together.

man, a new slave!? thats like $150 bones over $10 seals.

on another note, does anybody know if the push rod between the pressure plate and the slave ever changed? i used a 1000DS push rod on my 1100EVO motor. it works, but my clutch sucks ass, it doenst seem like the rod is long enough and disengaging enough.

I hardly ride my monster anymore. i dont even know why i even throw money at it!

There are at least a couple different length rods.

Your record remains intact.   [thumbsup]
Ethylene-Propylene is Glycol based compatible (DOT 3, 4, 5.1). There are a few others. So, unless buying purpose seals, research is highly recommended.

Hey He Man! Been awhile.

The later slave came with the longer push rod, I don't know if there were any other changes besides the cross-pin on the latest bikes. Someone will know.

Regarding the clutch throw, maybe a slow leak was robbing you of the last few mm? Maybe the pressure plate bearing pin thingo didn't match the pushrod (it might have a deeper recess). Possible plate stack height issue?

hey koko64! how are ya?

The duc sees no love. I started off this year with just two possessions, a car and my duc. I end the year with 3 bikes, a car, a trailer (for my dirtbike) and a skydiving rig. I dont ride street anymore, only commuting on my DR650. and the ducati has sat in my garage collecting dust. :( but my DR has seen plenty of miles, and my WR450 has seen plenty of action!

i am on a wet clutch now, so i am unable to see  the pressure plate end without taking apart the right side case.

ill hit someone up on ebay and see if they can get a measurement for me. if it ends up different, ill just buy the 1100EVO pushrod.

the motor is practically brand new (under 2,000 miles under my belt, and under 500 miles when i bought it). so its unlikely to be the clutch pack.

If there is a slow leak, then each time i pump the lever, the line would fill back up, thus it would show as low fluid in my resovoir (its been stable, but i hardly ever ride, so theres no reason for it to leak out unless theres a damaged seal somewhere.

I am thinking about brand new masters clutch and brake with a new slave, but ill look for the EPM rubber seals as howie suggested.

this thing is legit the definition of a money pit!
