A little bigger than a standard trailer...but my wife got tired of sitting at the track for 6-8 weekends a year under a pop-up!  [laugh]

For holding the bikes I'm a big fan of Pit Bull's Trailer Restraint System.

Picked up one of those hitch haulers for $160 last spring and used it all track season, very happy with it.

Last week a buddy sold me a 5x10 utility trailer for $100 that will double as track day trailer and yard project work horse. Gotta love friends and good deals!

awesome bit of kit you've got there Two dogs... [beer]

but why a bloody yamaha... ???

Bloody Yamie indeed
But it is an absolute scalpel on a short track , I was using the S2R1K but realised if I binned it I would cry like a little
biatch so with the money it would most likely cost to repair it for less I picked up the little R6 weapon.
And the Ute is a beast Big cams , shaved heads , remapped , lightened flywheel , button clutch, 3:9 diff SS headers with 3" zaust , 20" rims 6 lt V8 455 RWHP weapon.
Just your good old Ozzie V8 ute  [thumbsup]
Almost more fun getting to the track than riding on it  [evil]

very nice.
but those hitch trailers, at least around here, people just give away...i bought 2 vespas and both times people gave it to me, or offered it to me, talk about sweetening the deal.
one is a tilting one, its actually pretty cool. you sure get weird looks on highway :) and as you can see it doesn't load up the car too much, then again those things don't weigh too much.

I wanted to buy one of the hitch mounts.  I just want sure if i should go with the cheaper one out more expensive. I like to pinch a penny where i can.

SpikeC

The cheaper ones have less carrying capacity. For this I would spare no expense considering the potential cost of failure!

The $160 version I bought on eBay from a company in TN was rated for 600 lbs. our bikes don't weigh near that. I've done hundreds of miles with mine with success. If money wasn't an issue though... I would have bought a nicer one.

I cheat.  My 2500 has a lift gate so I took a regular ramp and found a way to fix it to the liftgate.  Pull the bike on hit the switch push it in and tie it down.  Past that I have a couple of enclosed trailers that work as well.
Two things I don't do.  Keyboard bullies and hypocrites.
Feel free to PM me if needed, otherwise you will find me elsewhere.

That is a sweet hauler.  I wish those had found their way to the US.   [clap]

And I'll second that Bill... [thumbsup]

You occasionally see one over here in the UK, I don't think they're an official import... [bang]

Used to use bike trailers, but got an old Mazda/Ford 4x4 pick up. It's nice to put the tailgate up with a bike in the back. The quickest way to my favourite track has a very steep uphill section of road leading to it.
