I don't often get to see totally new stuff to me but this stopped me in my tracks the other day......

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

In the bottom right hand corner of the release bearing arm there is a big pin. That pin should not be sticking through the arm. That pin is part of the clutch slave cylinder. The pin bored through the receiving back side of release arm and when it did the operation of the clutch slave blew it through the arm and the clutch slave exploded. You can see the slave piston below and behind all of this mess. Of course the SMG pump went wild and pumped all of the hydraulic fluid out and then not only would the trans not shift but because the trans was in gear the engine would not start. On SMG tranny's the shift lever is not directly attached to the trans. So no fluid, no shift & no move into neutral to start.

This is largely a result of sitting at traffic lights with the transmission in gear with the clutch disengaged. To put it more plainly, sitting at a stop with the clutch pedal pushed in ( for cars, trucks ) or with the clutch lever pulled in ( for motorcycles ).

This is one reason why I think it is absolute foolishness for riders to sit stopped with the clutch pulled in because they think it's safer.
