well we are officially all moved in.         i have completly done all the boxes for the master bedroom, all bathrooms, media room and pantry. got my new tv today along with satellite and internet so i am in business. tomm i plan to finish the living room and with some help from my wife the dining room. the kitchen is all hers. if the kids do not wish to see dad go into "GUNNERY SARGEANT HARTMAN" mode           i suggested to them that their bedrooms be done tomm. i am already sick of looking at boxes. the last thing to tackle is the garage and lugging all those stupid          holiday decorations up to the attic. they are coming out mon for the barn. gonna get up sun and go for a lil ride   [moto]   with some guys from work. they want to run down to hillsboro for lunch and i suggested we take 157 to 66 (the one w/ all the 90 degree turns) to grandview like when we went to hico. they declined because they just want to cruise. BORING!!!! but i said i would go so i am going.
free advise: make sure your house is ready when you move do not get stuck stayin in a f'n hotel for 3 1/2 weeks.

almost didn't open 'cause I thought it was another one of those "look at my post number" threads...not that there's anything wrong with those.   

Congrat's on the new place, Chris...I'm glad you all are finally getting settled.

i like it. i mean the extra room is real nice. my wife loves it. she got everything she wanted and them some. she made me put a dutch door on the pantry room so the dogs could come inside just not all the way inside. they get the joys of a/c w/o laying on the couch when nobody's around. don't tell her but when she's not here i let them wander wherever.

Congrats Chris! You are moving moving sucks. We had unpacked boxes around for a year or so after we moved in. After a while you just wear out and give up. Sort of a "I don't know what's in that box but if it was important and I needed it I would have already unpacked it" state of mind. Out of sight out of mind. Probably could have thrown 20% of the boxed away and wouldn't have noticed!! I can only imagine how glad you are to be out of the motel and sleeping in your own bed. Again, happy you are now home at last!!!
