Mikkeller Better Half

How was it? I have spent way to much money on Mikkeller's wares and have yet to have one that I love.

It was good.  It was my first foray into their brews.

Ninkasi has finally arrived in CO.  Enjoying a Tricerahops Double IPA. 100 IBU's and 8% ABV.

I went to the brewery back in the day when they had just opened. Freshly cobbled together table of old plywood and 2x4's with some plastic cups and 4 tap handles in the middle of their brewing area. Serve yourself, as they were too busy brewing beer. I'm pretty sure they knew they didn't have to sell it, as it would sell itself.

You all know it's Stout Month, right?

Had this the last few days (from my home town).  Not as good as I remember.  Or maybe it's because there are so many microbreweries with freshly made stouts and other flavors.

IIRC, this is in your neck o'the woods. If you haven't been, their beers are awesome and can only be had on tap:

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

I have not tried the Brown Shugga

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Which one, the standard or the Maximus?
