And only 25K miles on her too.  Someone has been hitting the pipe too much.  [laugh]

But it's got the top of the line stamp on the tank!!
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

I've seen the bike around. Lets just say it's well broken in. At best maybe worth half that. ANd 25K miles and hardly anybody here that does valves.

Seems legit. [Dolph]

Been thinking for a couple of weeks about flying over for a couple of days and looking at this one while I'm there.

I think I know the one out in Kapolei. That would be the one where the seller just bought it & found that it physically didn't work for him. I know that bike & the owner that had it for years prior.

Was it abused ? Granted it's on Oahu, only so far you can go kinda fast, but getting beat up and ragged out is a lot easier a block or two at a time instead of miles of interstate...etc

Found this one today

I don't think the Kapolei, recently purchased one, was abused. I couldn't speak for it's entire life but the guy I know that had it tried to keep all of his BMW's and that bike in good shape. He liked to ride but he's not a squid. The S4R has a newer style engine that's a little easier to work on.

Emailed this guy tonight.

He says it runs but the clutch is notching on the basket and the plates. Might be a good candidate for forks and a motor for me.

Beware! I have seen & touched this bike. It hasn't run for a while. The tank is rusted all over on the inside. The fork sliders are pitted and will likely damage the fork seals once it starts being ridden again. If I got it I would be taking the forks apart to have the sliders re-chromed. Either that or new forks.  I made him a low ball offer as this bike will need some time, money & TLC to get it back right again. Too bad, the guy started with the best intentions but his film project gets in the way of taking care of the bike. It also hasn't been registered for what? Five years or so, but he says DMV will waive the penalties. Who really knows? It has potential, I don't want to cast dispersions on that but be careful about wading in on this one. He's also trying to leave town for SE Asia but his timeline for leaving seems to keep changing........
