I think Tuscany might have an ear infection. She has been crying for no reason that I can see.

Get in there with a qtip. That will tell you right away if there's an ear infection.

Dr. Mendo Candyman, that's what my dog does too. Sometimes ends up with a mud streaked muzzle/head.

And her current obsession, a IZ_ green squeeky toy she stole from another dog who was visiting our house (his human reports he doesn't seem to miss it):



She's never been the least bit interested in dog toys before. It is kind of cute the way she carries it with her everywhere, but it's also a bit bittersweet, as I've noticed that obsession with a particular toy is a habit many dogs pick up very late in life. She's doing really well, but it's a reminder that she's a large, 13 year old dog and I should be savoring every snuggle and playful moment she gives us.
