What could you possibly think you'd gain from lying. Although there have been books written about it. (Stolen Valor) is one. I've never been able to wrap my head around it. Oh well, make the beast with two backs off.

I know of a certain someone who told a similar story about sniper fire, but nobody gave two shits about that story. I'm guess'n Brian thought the same would happen to him.

I think it's funny, the media has been sensationalizing their reports for, well, ever and people care about this.

they dont have t lie, I read once where meteorologists have the highest job satisfaction ratings, think about it, so what if you're wrong, you're still getting paid, this last snowstorm in NYC where they really blew that forecast, it was like, oh well oooopppps,

The PIC was not "figuring out how to land" - He LANDED safely.

So right there he is putting himself at the level of those that made sure everyone made it home alive.

Then, when the truth comes out that he wasn't even on that aircraft, but an hour behind.

He stole a real hero's story and made it his own for personal gain.
