Awsome!!   [clap]

I was thinking of going to Thailand for the next round. If Troys going to sub there as well, that may be the clincher for me to go...

Who's coming?

This is very cool..

Hopefully he can adapt quickly to the current bike in practice...

It's worth echoing Bayliss' comment about just how much this sucks for Giugliano - after years in the wilderness, Ducati looks like it's about to put a bike on the WSBK grid that can once again contend for the sharp end of the race, and despite posting some attention-getting laps in pre-season, he's going to have to watch from the sidelines. As giddy as I am to see Bayliss back out there, I was also looking forward to seeing if Giugliano could put together a competitive season.

A mate told me that Bayliss was 2/10ths fastest in practice so far.

Bayliss ended the session 18th, 2.3 sec behind Chaz Davies on the other Panini.
Reportedly he only ran 3 laps.

3.2 and 0.8 sec back from fastest time from Lowes on the GSXR.

Not bad for ye olde farte who's had no running on a modern SBK in who knows how long.

Only 3 laps. Hmmm.

Glad the Gixxer is doing well.

Bayliss had some harsh words for whomever decided the "one bike" idea was a good thing.

There was a technical issue that limited him to one flying lap.... so I'd wager in the second practice he'll move a bit further up the grid.

18th...
so not a massive amount of progress or laps.
Another 15 laps..

His bike was leaking oil apparently, hence only 3 laps.

More info on Bayliss' engine issue:

I'm having a bit of trouble decoding the info on how this effects Giugliano's engine allotment depending on who rides his bike in upcoming races.
