Hey not bad, got me to thinking when I last saw SRV live, had to look that one up -1984!

correction 1986 festival hall melbourne, the fabulous thunderbirds supporting. The duet played on one twin neck guitar by SRV and his brother Jimmie, pretty memorable.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Sadly never got to see him live.

Saw the fabulous thunderbirds in Nashville.

I've seen him so many times in Santa Cruz, Ca. in the '80s. He played there at least 3 times a year.

I saw him in Dallas twice, Austin many times and the last time was at the Greek Theatre in LA.  BB Kink opened.   ;D  The best show as at the Austin Opera House.  It was a benefit show for musicians down and out (many due to record companies taking advantage).  SRV's head/hat was barely visible in what appeared to be a recording studio above the seating area.  My ex and I saw him, but not many others appeared to be noticing.  SRV was arguing with someone for quite some time up there (but you could hear nothing).  When he came on stage, he was clearly perturbed and then just beat his guitar to death.  make the beast with two backsin' awesome.

After that was a show at a smaller Austin venue (I'll think of the name after I hit "Save").  My ex and I were at the stage the entire show...chatted with him during the show, got a pick (now lost) and got sweated on.   ;D

Edit: Palmer Auditorium   ;)

Same here, except it was somewhere in SoCal, Irvine Amphitheater IIRC.

She is really good. Definitely has talent. You can tell she just has a feel for the thing.
