More info on Bayliss' engine issue:
http://paologozzi.gazzetta.it/en/2015/02/20/english-whatever-happened-to-troy-bayliss-engine/

I'm having a bit of trouble decoding the info on how this effects Giugliano's engine allotment depending on who rides his bike in upcoming races.
The way I read it is if Bayliss stays on and rides more than 2 rounds and then stays with the team on a third bike then Giugliano starts over. Any other set of circumstances the engines count toward that bike.

That's kinda what I got from it, but I didn't get confident in that interpretation.

It seems odd they'd even be worrying about that.
If he's off for 3 months, Giugliano will miss the first 5 races, so his championship hopes are finished.
How are more engines going to make a difference when he's spotted the field that many points?

I'm not under the impression they can gain much by shortening the fuses on more engines.

Indeed.

FP4, Bayliss has more than halved the margin to Davies, now 1.1 sec, versus 2.3 in FP1.

He sits 12th out of 24, just 1.5 sec off the fastest time of FP4.

Really very impressive, as I'm sure he's been given stern 'suggestions' from every corner of the box to not fall off.

If they just wanted someone that was gonna do parade laps...

they shouldn't have hired Troy. ;)

This race should be interesting.

I'm gonna start a thread for the race to avoid spoilers in this one.

There is even some talk of a Misano wild card, which would see the three-time Ducati WSBK champion face-off with two-time Aprilia WSBK Champion Max Biaggi.

I'd like to see this.
