I have a 2007 monster 695 that was in a wreck. I need a speedo. Can I use a used speedo from another ducati monster. I have seen some on ebay and I was wondering if the new speedo has to be a virgin. I also need a front headlight if anyone has one that they want to sell....I have my RED key!!!

The speedo, ecu, and red key all go together.  If you buy a new speedo, you need all three parts of the puzzle.  It can be expensive.  Good luck!

OK I thought if you have the red key a dealer can program the new speedo tomate with the ecu

If you are willing to pay dealer prices for a virgin speedo, that may be true ... I'm not 100% sure.  But if you are willing to shell out that kind of coin, the key is not a significant part of the expense.  I figured you were trying to find a used unit and save some money.

I am trying to save $$$ . I need a speedo that is my only problem with my bike.Every time you ask a ducati dealer something they always give you an answer where they make the most money. If I do get a new virgin speedo can a ducati dealer program it to my bike?

yes, that is the only way. Ive seen them go for about $700 for a whole key lock guage and ecu on ebay. You just need to find a 695 set. How much are guages from your dealer?

the guages range from 650-725 from the dealer....
