first time out. tons of fun and "practice" session lasted way over two hours.  much to do still but it's a start for a 30 year old bike, must increase speed and put slicks on it first though.  [evil]

SPOLER ALERT

O.K. so who is this Dovizoso fellow anyway?  And a Fast GP Ducati?  WTF   [clap]  [clap]

That sure was a good race! Keep in mind that Ducati is currently playing by a slightly different set of rules though. We'll see how they get along once the playing field if leveled. In the mean time, that sure was fun!

The F1 race didn't disappoint either. Again, if Kimi didn't have bad luck he'd have none at all.

Is anyone going to the race in two weeks? I am supposed to have tickets coming from a work connection, I have already booked two rooms in Elgin where we stayed before. If all goes according to plan, we'll skip Friday and drive down Saturday morning. Anyone else?

My wife and I are heading down Friday morning and coming back Sunday after the races.  Should be great races.  Gotta love the Moto3 guys.

Recently bought an AppleTV box so it was great to stream all the races live with no commercials!  [thumbsup]

We have an AppleTV, but I can't find anything on-line about directly streaming a live MotoGP feed to one. Are you using Airplay to mirror your laptop or iPad when streaming to one of them while logged into a MotoGP VideoPass account? Or am I missing something on the device's menu?

As much as I miss hearing the full pre-race commentary from the English-language MotoGP streamcast team, a season pass has gotten stupid expensive, so I won't be buying one again.

Yes I have the MotoGP season pass.  I really enjoyed watching all the practice, qualifying sessions and races without commercial.

I am streaming from my MacBook via AirPlay.

Yeah, I've gotten totally spoiled with the MotoGP TV video "Pass."  I'll never go back to commercially interrupted Moto again.  EVAH!

And for sure the F1 race was completely unbelievable.  Great day for "my" teams all 'round  ;D

As weird as it sounds, I wonder if Dovi was told not to win.  Just yet anyway.  They do have the rules advantage going for them now but as soon as they win *I think* the party is over rule advantage-wise.  Wouldn't hurt the Ducs to run half a dozen races more to totally get rid of any mechanical gremlins before they take on the factory Hondas and Yamahas.

(See, kiddies.  This is what happens when you get... older;  Conspiracy theories are everywhere.  Everywhere, I tell you!)

Mhanis

They lose their advantage after:

1 win,
or 2 seconds,
or 3 thirds

according to the broadcasters.

What advantages are they given, does anyone remember?

Softer tires
More Fuel?
Something about the mapping?

I'm not too sure either but from what I remember Ducati can develop their own ECU (?) and they can use the softer pair of the three tire choices brought to each race.  I think that's the big one.

Don't care, though, because that Ducati had some serious pace.  All race.  Plus, it sounds like they've been able to get the bike to turn at competitive speed.

Austin should be a "real cracker!"  English voice OFF.

It's about time. right?  I think the commentators mentioned Ducati had been a participant in MotoGP since 2004  :o  Time flies (when you're on a Duc   [evil]  )

Ran across this just now

It appears the Ducati conspirators failed to take into account that a podium finish for Iannone would foil their nefarious plot. Muah-ha!
