So my Dad purchased a monster for $500.00

Nice nice score.

It'll need some catch up maintenance - the belts need to be done asap. 

Anything with fluid should get a refresh - suspension included.

Nice.

I got the same tank in red  [popcorn]  it was on the bike when I bougth it  [thumbsup] I know its not the original ... dont know where it come's from ..... [popcorn]

One day at a red ligth.... the last owner recongnise is old bike and  stop me to tell me that it was is bike  before he sold it to the dealer.....he told me that he ordered that tank from Ducati.

It isn't missing...just smaller, centered lower and sort of ghosted in.

My wife has an '03 M1000S and the bike you have is most assuredly the same.

Great find.  I can't usually find the motor for twice that price, let alone the rest of the bike.   What a score!  [beer]

Dual Spark 1000 Poss a 2004 or 2005. It has the st frame, in 2002 only on S4 and 620 i.e  in the Monster lineup had the ST4 frame, in 2003 the  Monster lineup was upgraded.. D/P  Tank a 1500 dollar  + option.. He stole the bike .. I wish him well, coooool ride... Tim
