But Rossi was pretty much faster everywhere else. The Yamahas weren't very hot last year in COTA.
Yamaha might as well just head to Brazil Argentina and skip the stop in the US eh?

The Yamahas will be in the hunt this year for sure IMO. They're only a little slower down the straight, but they seem to make up for it in agility. I an easily see another drag race to the finish line, with the Yamaha just trying to hang on to the lead. If that Yamaha is JLo, then advantage to whoever is behind because he'll take some stupid sweeping line. If the Yamaha is Rossi, then who knows...he's a racer.

JLo would have been there last year if he hadn't had his head up his butt at the start.

I fully expect to see all 3 manufacturers on the podium.  [thumbsup]

As much as I'd like to see Dovi, Rossi & Crazy Joe up there I think MM is coming to wage war.  He was seriously pissed at the end of last race........... [popcorn]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

1. MM
2. Dovi
3. Vale
4. Jlo
5. CrayJo

Unless it rains, then I'd throw Cal and Smith in the mix.

I still think from what we saw at Qatar, this track suits HRC and Ducati.

So I guess it's not true that You'reghey doesn't have a sense of humor.

Asked at the COTA press conference to comment about him saying that it was a human mistake that caused his helmet problem, and asked what that mistake was...he replied...with a grin...

It's pretty clear no? One person made a mistake and we will not share what that mistake was.

I don't care what track suits what bikes.

Rossi has a wild hair up his ass to win and I think he will put up a serious fight.

I couldn't believe Quatar. Pitiful practice and qualy and then BAM in the race.

It wasn't like he dominated the whole race. If Rossi is a position to win I would not put it past him to pull something out at the end. But in the end, the Yamaha has to have the speed in the straights. Just look at the track layout of Qatar vs COTA. Qatar has more flowing corners compared to COTA. COTA also has 2 straight aways where Yamaha will need to find more top end. Also remember that they have less time to adjust for COTA. In Qatar they had the test and then race weekend for Yamaha to adjust, which they eventually did. I'm not saying that the Duc will dominate or that the Yamaha will be lapped, but they have to pull off some big changes for them to keep up with MM and the Ducs.

Tossing away Lorenzo for Hernandez?  :D
I have a feeling he will smoke his tyres and bin it.

MM is going to keep the pace hot. VR will play it safe early.

But MM may also bin it and then all bets are of with the ensuing craziness.  ;D

"Bummer I'm not racing, no prep was needed as I wasn't planning on winning, just replacing a good friend and having some fun in Texas!:)"

Interesting ..seems he wanted to race

When Jorge goes to Aprilia or Suzuki once they get somewhere with their power issues, we could have VR and CS both at Yamaha  ;)

I don't disagree one bit. I just think that Rossi wants a title again now more than ever and he is going to really give everybody a run for the money.

It's still so early in the season to see where everybody is at. Guess we'll find out starting tomorrow.

Rossi always runs well at Qatar. We'll see after 4-5 rounds. That said, I think he's hungry and wants another one. The challenge of MM has energized him. That's what's great about Rossi...he loves a good race. Some guys (JLo, Stoner, Pedro) just want to clear out and go.
