Two dogs

Job 1
Replaced the orrible Barnett friction plates with a set of sintered steel from Gowenlock's $30 each
result is fantastic no judder and hardly any rattle as the tangs fit closer in the basket.
Job 2
Replaced Mrs Dogs 696 wet clutch with a Ducati OEM pack ,bleed and a flush of the clutch lines.
Fresh oil and filter and new liquid gasket .
No more slipping and longer friction zone took it for a test ride..... fantastic.
A little more fiddly than the dry clutch but still an easy DIY

Happy wife happy life  [clap]

mounted up some Michelin Road 4's for my 696. :D Only took me 30 min to do the actual unmount/mount and balance myself. I must be getting better... 5th set i've done, 2nd set i've done without tubes. i hate tubes.

GK

Replaced rear sprocket, had newer (bro's spare set) clutch plates fitted and tweaked rear suspension. Very enjoyable riding!
2001 Ducati  Monster 900S ie
JE high comp pistons, bit of porting, open airbox with DP filter, PC3 with custom map, CCW matched injectors, Termignoni cf slip ons, 14:39 gearing.

Gone but not forgotten!

Replaced stator with a new one from electrosport... Bike holds volts like it should now. I was kind of skeptical about my test results, not really believing them. Thinking to myself that out of all the bikes I have owned, new and old, none of them had a stator go bad. hmmm

Returned the loaner Monster 1200S I had for a couple days and got my Monster back. As a welcome home bought some NCR, EVR and titanium goodies.

Put nearly 250 miles on a loaner 1200S. Was an interesting experience. The Ohlins goodies are really good, ABS and the three mode riding options are fun to choose between. But at the end of the day I was excited to see my S4R and would choose it over the new 1200S any day. The throttle pull is so light and with the three riding modes you can select how quickly power is delivered but at the end of the day, the engine didnt speak to me. No clacking of the dry clutch, no 'real' feeling of how the engine is working underneath me.

Sure some will love it but I'm going to stay old school... [clap]

waiting for my new RR so I can ride without my battery dying before I get to my location... [bang]

turned out to be my stator and not my R/R... oh well, it looks like I have a spare R/R now.

So... technically it was Saturday not today, but I finally replaced the big ass right fairing that had covered the emissions canister with the low profile one that matches the one on the left side. I also removed the aluminum guard that covered the lower half of the canister.  ...on the 2006 Monster 620D  I've owned since 2007.  :-\

Had the stock ECU reflashed and custom mapped on my 08 S2R1K (goodbye FatDuc O2 modulator).  Took it out of town and flogged it to test it out...:o It's like a completely different bike. The only regret....not having it done years ago.

Nice result!

Thanks!  It runs SOOO much better!  The previous owner put a DP ECU, DP air filter, cat removal, and open air box.  Needless to say, the stock pipes weren't letting it breathe.

Swapped out my "meh" stainless rotor bolts and completely unacceptable side stand hardware for delicious grade 5 Ti...
