Spark midpipe. The horrendous rattle of the cat (not to mention the massive udderness) are now gone, and the bike sounds better even with the stock cans on it.

Wrestled, cracked knuckles, cursed, repeat x10 until I had the fugly as OE wiring loom as hidden as it possibly can be.

Installed Motowheels case saver, SSR sprocket cover, carbon fiber and Ti shift rod, Ti side stand bolts on my NOS sidestand, and a Ti banjo bolt on my Oberon slave cylinder.  [drool]

OE shift linkage looks so plain next to all that tastiness.  [roll]

Attempted to (finally) register my bike in California. Even though I'm the original owner, title in hand, I now have to take it to the CHP office to have the VIN verified. Stamped on the head tube, matched the title and the AZ registration, but apparently they were looking for another sticker with the VIN on it.

Note: If you clean up the frame by removing stickers, make sure you KEEP that sticker somewhere on the bike...

Yup.  Been there & had to do JUST that.  Fortunately, the CHP officers doing the inspection were bikers too so they didn't give a rats ass.  Took like 10 minutes once I got there.  YMMV.

Hopefully. I have an appointment at 7am next week at the Santa Ana office. Apparently that's this officer's main job. He said it shouldn't take long and was a bit surprised that the DMV made me do it considering I was the original owner. Sounded like a pretty straight forward guy.

Polished the tank with special occasion Carnuba wax. Looks great.
Finally fitted a charge cable for the Shorai battery.

Ran an extra neg- battery terminal cable to frame (under the battery support bracket) and an earth cable from under the battery support bracket straight to the motor. They both connect to the same bolt as does the earth cable from loom. Cleaned up the frame to motor earth cable behind the rearset and reinstalled.
The starter motor rpm increased substantially even with full choke (enrichener).

Replaced my front brake lines due to this :

Not really sure what did this , general opinion is moisture under the sheath its been a bit wet here lately
bit of heat from the lines and somehow expanded . But no track day or heavy braking so not convinced
I could of generated enough heat to boil water.
No brake fluid had leaked or no solvents or heat used near or on the bike.
Lucky I have a friend with a heavily modified S4R so his parts bin is always well stocked for me to pilfer  ;D
Thanks Brian  [thumbsup]

Mechanic suggests one of my caliper pistons was not returning ( maybe due to moisture and dirt ) resulting in pad drag on the rotor
causing heat build up.
on the one side the lines cooked.

Rode it thru the fog to another country...

But in all fairness it was only an hour and a half ride there.

Got these billet master cylinder mounts that were intended for mirrors, but thought they'd make a nice way to mount my reservoirs. Had to drill/tap/install helicoils so they'd work with M6 thread shoulder screws. Nice and sturdy and I think they look decent too.
