Just got back from Angeles Crest Highway. [moto] I've been on plenty backroads and canyons but I've got to say that this was probably the nicest road, by far! The road was smooth, virtually no debris, few cars and was a nice tight, twisty road. I started to wonder why I had waited so long to hit this road up. And as I saw a CHP biker  [leo] on the other side of the road light me up, I remembered why.... the stories about all the cops  [bang] . Got speeding and a couple non-moving violations.. I didnt let that ruin my ride and I enjoyed the rest of my ride but i'm not sure I'll be going back anytime soon, especially not on a weekend. What a waste of a wonderful road.  :'(

Like Dude said above: Frame it.

There'll be plenty more.

Hire a lawyer and have him do what he can.
You want your record as clean as you can keep it for your insurance... and defending the NEXT ticket.

Wow I just got my first ticket on my bike a month or so ago. Was really late for work so was bombing along
at 94 in a 55. It's wide open rural highway in eastern Washinton. Around the corner comes the State Patrol.
I chopped the throttle and pulled right over. He turned around and came bombing back and was supprised that I
was pulled over waiting for him. He ran my info and said he clocked me at 94 and when i went past him I was doing 71.
He wrote me a ticket for 5 over and then told me how to find a website on the WA state website, so that I could defer my ticket.
As long as I don't get another ticket in the next year they drop this one, like it never happened. The
state bear was really nice and thanked me for pulling over and not making him chase me down.
See if you can get it defered.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Buddy of mine, this weekend blew through a speed trap in his truck.  Pulled over behind the next building and watched the cop blow by with lights and sirens, then proceded to his destination via back roads.  Classic Smokey and the Bandit

It's tough when they are on bikes too. I don't know if I'd try to get away from a motorcycle  [leo]. I don't advise that someone run from the  [leo]although I have done it several times and barely lived to tell the tales. 130 mph on a secondary road is about as crazy as it gets , but that's what it takes to shake a  [leo] until you can find a place to hang out 'til the coast is clear. Plus when I throttled it as I went by them , they couldn't get my license plate# and I had a heck of a head start and the 1st side road I'd turn and chances are they wouldn't know if I turned l,r, or was still going straight. Then look for a nice place to spend some time out of site and when you head home you never know if you will come across another  [leo] who is on the lookout but without a license # They don't have much to hold you on if they would even stop me which hasn't happened and won't because I won't do that kind of speeding anymore. What non-moving violations did they get you on as well?  No seat belt?   [bacon]

I had that conversation the other day with my friend.  I was being an idiot and had full-upper gear on driving, helmet included, but had forgotten to put on my seat belt.  Now, in OH you don't need a helmet on a bike.  You have to wear a seat belt though.  Ummm.... that makes no sense.  It would have been pretty funny to get pulled over and gotten a no seat belt ticket. In Jacket, helmet, and gloves, with front and side air bags.

... I'm totally cool with my friends saying "You remember when William bit it?!  That was awesome!  How do you explode in a fireball while being crushed under a waterfall?!  I don't think I'll beat that..."

that would include no blinkers and relocation of license plate under the tail near the shock. he was also considering giving me one for my non-dot pipes..

I got pulled over at 4:00AM one freezing (20F) morning doing 80 in a 55 and the first thing the cop said was "Thanks for stopping, most guys just gun it and I have to chase them down".  We then discussed how cold I must be and how much he likes Ducs, then he let me go with a warning ;D [leo]
