What could be under them indeed. Would it be some old bank notes from the 1920's stolen from a train robbery? Or maybe a chest full of rubies, gold & pieces of eight from the civil war era? Or maybe some prohibition liquor might be stashed down there when the place became a speakeasy and gambling den at night.

I had my hopes set for an old human ribcage with the "Tell Tale Heart" still beating inside. Just thumping away driving everybody mad.
But no, it was just an old well. I'm very disappointed in this lady's house.  [cheeky]
