Travel plans for Telluride trip: To confirm, we leave Albuquerque August 14, Friday morning towards Telluride, return Monday August 17, 2015. I'll be heading from Jacksonville, FL and will try and update as we drive across country...There are talks about construction and routes, did some research. Here's some updates for you all:

Website for Colorado road construction: http://www.cotrip.org/roadWork.htm

Rt160 basically has work going on as below:

Specifically this stretch:

I would personally like to avoid going 550 up north from ABQ, but its fine if we have no choice. The long route would be do our regular route and go through Ouray. Durango to Telluride through Cortez is 111miles and through Ouray is 120miles...time is longer due to fun curves.. ;D The cars can go the regular short route if needed...anyway group call, I just want to ride as much as I can!  [Dolph] [Dolph] [Dolph]

& If it helps anyone to be motivated if you are not already, here's my one way travel mid August...

There's still a small chance I might make it. My work schedule has been pretty crazy. If I make it, i'll sleep on the floor or something.

You mean another one that doesn't highlight on the signature? [evil]

It's in there.   ;)

I took my first test ride on the "new and improved" Aprilia last night.  I just need to mount up the front signals and get a functioning flasher and it's ready!   [Dolph]

It runs, so the improvements should be readily apparent.   ;)

A brief list of changes:

A fresh set of Pilot Road 4s (actually the front is the Pilot Road 4 GT that was mounted in error on Susan's Multi last year.....I can't tell the difference)
A complete set of body work
A new headlight
A new tail light
A new tail light housing
A new set of throttle cables
A new clutch master cylinder
A new clutch lever
A new clutch side bar end
A new set of turn signals and a flasher
A new wind screen
A new rider's seat
A new passenger's seat
A set of new fairing fasteners (in aluminum)
A set of new fuel tank flange fasteners (in aluminum)
A set of new wind screen fasteners (in aluminum)
A new air filter
A new oil filter
Renewed engine oil
Renewed coolant
A new left side switch cluster
A new exhaust hanger (in aluminum)

I'm sure I've left something out...but I'll think of it later.  I think I'm about $3000 into my $500 Aprilia.

Dang, this person who owned it before you must have done a better/fancier flip than me, that sounds like a total overhaul! [clap] Bet it rides good now! Looking forward to seeing this in person...

Once again, it was a pleasure seeing everyone at the lodge. What a great place. Thanks again to Karl, Pam and company for putting on a great gathering. I wish for a speedy recovery for John, any updates could go here. Hope to see all again next year if not sooner, depending on if I ever make to ABQ in between.
