Last weekend I traded 2 days of corner working at New York Safety Track for 2 free track days.

I learned a lot and the best thing, I think, was that I got to see fast guys and the lines they took through corners I'm not great at.

I hope I can do this again. . .

I've been cornerworking at NHMS for 15 years in exchange for track time. It's kind of an on par deal, but we ride and work the same day.

It's awesome. [thumbsup]

Next time I will try to work Saturday and ride Sunday.

It's nice being immersed in the racetrack environment all weekend :)

They've got you stationed on the outside of the turn?

We don't get many back to back days anymore, and never on weekends.

Usually Mondays after a race weekend when the track is already set up for the road course.

Yes, turn 3 at least is like that. The corner station is way off the track out of the race line. Look at the aerial of the track I posted....  Runs ccw. 3&4 are the rights (double aprx really) after 1&2, lefts (at the end of the straight)

2 into three is down hill and everyone is breaking or at least rolling off. I would guess the stand was 100' off the pavement.

I had one guy low side in three and his bike ended up of to my left and only managed to get 25' off the pavement.

It's safe.

Hard to tell distance from the pics, glad it's not sketchy.

It is the New York Safety Track after all ;)

NYST is hands down the best track in the area imo.  Greg and the other guys there are great.

Agreed. They're all good people as far as I can tell. The coaches are good, the riders that show up seem to be nice and everyone is happy to be there.

Who is the track day organizer?

The one time I rode last year I just called the track, booked and showed up. I think you don't necessarily have to be with a track day org.

TPM is there a lot as well I think.

Who owes you the track time?
