i don't think so.   I think it's set up with ILITs and those have to be owned by an irrevocable trust.

anyhow, i can't imagine Google is cool with an employee sleeping in a box truck in their lot for more than a week or two..  seems fishy.

UAL wasnt. Those guys had to find some other place to park. I think most of them ended up renting some shithole next to the freeway in Haward or something.

I hope the guy makes out OK. 2-3k on rent is stupid. He should keep that up for 3-4 years and buy a house out if state, then figure out a way to work from home before he makes the move.

Nono, we want you to live in the parking lot. You are now dependent on the company for food, the shower, internet access, bathroom, and of course, you can't get a girlfriend living in your truck.

He's not the only one doing it, but he is an idiot for making a big deal of it.

We had people living in the parking lot at the old gig.

There was someone renting a dang tent in mountain view for 1k a month or so not so long ago.

The whole place has gone to hell, really. I'm glad I moved.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Happens back East too-doesn't Nate live right outside his work space?

Yea. But he doesnt have an employee number or a boss or a security gaurd patrolling the parking lot.

Did you work at AMES in Mountain View?

Popeye the Sailor

Yeah-the nasa base. And a whole bevy of other aerospace places.

Can't say I miss it.

I mostly dealt with the big plane, which, to bring things back on topic, would've been housing for about fifty.

That Antonov? It could hold one or two.

Those 3 Hangars could house a lot of people as well.
