That's amazing.

It would be really cool to see this happen with a handful of other legendary vehicles too.

Too right

1.5 mil?

I can think of lots of things I'd spend that much on before a 57 jag.

Yeah, but only 16 of the originals were made.

There're more than 9 people out there that have an interest in buying one, and more than 1.5 mil under their couch cushions.

I think the price is crap and the cars are neat but I'm practical. I could probably build a cobra for under 30k that would crush it.

I'm all about that bang/buck ratio

Well, what would you spend 1.5m on if you suddenly had it?

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

They are really cool, but 1.5 mil is a bit much for me.

For a very small percentage of that I could do evil things to my 280Z.

Yeah, I'm with ya.  Except I think I could get 360hp out of a small block Ford and put it in a modified Miata chassis for 1/2 that dollar figure and that would run with the kit cobra, and still crush the XKSS.

(Although, the XKSS is a frickin' beautiful piece of automobilia...) [drool]

Well, yeah. I wasn't going all out cheap for my example. I mean, if you've got 1.5 to spend, the least you could do is upgrade a little past a Miata ;)

I'd look hard at a TT Fairmont gramma car :D

I'm not going that far down the low-buck-supercar ladder....  Ugh, have you SEEN a Fairmont?  :P
