Yeah, notice I slipped in the Desmosedici under SBK.   ;D

For a price limit, I'd like to keep it at $9,000 to be able to pay cash for it.  If the bike were sweet enough though, I'd probably be willing to take out a $3,000 loan.  I'd rather avoid having to make payments until I get out of school though.

I'll sell you a sweet S4R for say, 8  :P

04', bought new in '06 (sat for 2 years on the showroom floor). While filthy, it's been mechanically loved.

Comes with tank dent  :P

A tank dent?!  SWEET!!   ;D

I think if I stick with a 4 valve Monster I'm gonna go testastretta though.

Umm... what kind of riding do you want to do?

'Cause your list of bikes is all over the map as far as what their strengths are.

Touring?
Adventure touring?
Canyons?
Commuting?
Track days?

See, that's another thing I've been wrestling with.

In the past, the vast majority of my riding has been local twisties.

I wouldn't mind having something that I could tolerate doing the occasional 500 mile superslab trip on though.  But I managed that on my S4 a couple of times.

My commute is about a mile and a half, so that's not much of an issue.

And I'd like to start doing some track days in the near future.

Used 999 will do all you need exept offraod ;D
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

My next bike is going to be the KTM 950SMR, so my vote is for that.  If you haven't ridden one, you owe it to yourself to get a demo ride in.  It will change you forever ;D

Any chance that I could nick the radiator off your S4 before the insurance company picks it up?  ;D

Or better yet, swap my radiator for yours!!!

I've never ridden one but those Huskys look sweet. I've heard some great things about them too.

But of all the bikes listed and it were my money I'd get a 998. Love em'.

Monsterlover

Yeah, but you can't jump 998 in the woods (or shouldn't [laugh])

+1 and a 5 gallon gas tank and $3 rubber tubing to siphon gas from one tank to another...to replace the use of jumper cables and other electric bits around gas.   [coffee]  ;D
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.
