Just post the length. We can imagine pretty easily what a 34' travel trailer looks like ;)

That's a nice 5th wheel.

I will say it looks like it's all the suspension on that F-150 wants. :-\

I saw that as well.

How much can a half ton actually manage?

And given same weight, would a hitch, fifth wheel or goose neck tow any differently on the same truck?

IIRC, that F150 has a payload capacity of 1300#
2005 S2R800
2006 S2R1000
2015 Monster 821

It'll handle a ton...looking similar to that. ;D

Anything putting more weight in front of the rear wheels should result in better handling (assuming nothing else is set up too stupid).

I prefer the overkill approach to towing. There are some serious grades out here. The F350 notices some of them, even.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Great point. So, let's eliminate the hitch. Any big differences between goose neck and fifth wheel?

Well...either one is a way of taking a house with you and claiming you're camping so.....

You can use your bed with a goose neck hitch. That fifth wheel is in the way.

I'm told the fifth wheel tows smoother.

I have a friend with a classic 36' Flxible bus that's been converted to an RV. I can probably get it for ya for 10k. That right there is the way to travel.

Yeah, converting an old bus to an RV is on my "list"

Something from the 40's or 50's. Love the look.
