So, I got some MW clip-ons for Christmas. Off with the handlebars!! And then it started to snowball.

lose the fairing
lower the headlight bracket
Speigler lines all around
forks sent to Cogent for upgrade(thought about having them anodized gold while they were apart but talked myself out of it. Probably regret it later.)

Well, finally got through with it. Here's some pics. I'll have to do something about the gauges. Now there's a big gap between them and the lowered headlight. I went back & forth with the removable risers but finally decided to leave them off. The only 'DOH' moment was that I measured for the brake and clutch lines with the risers on so I've got a little extra line than I needed. Doesn't look too bad though. The clip-ons put a bit more weight on my hands around town but the cool factor is worth it and you're only middle-aged once, right? And those Ohlins-valved re-sprung forks! Soooo much better street ride. Anyway, this mod season's over, now just to ride, ride, ride.

Nicely done.  I've seen people sandwich the gauges between the headlight 'U' and the top triple...  Perhaps you could do that on this bike.

That crossed my mind. Would have to use some kind of rubber washer on top or bottom of the CF mounting holes to stabilize it. May see what the hardware store has.

You 'want' to rubber mount the gauges.

Ahh yes, the motor. Well, time and money ran out this year. I've still got to acquire the Hi-comps anyway. Like they say in sports "Just wait till next year"   :)
