Any word on boy Jorge and his condition? He fell hard on his left shoulder and was walking a little funny when he got up.

Not the way I really want to see things even up but just glad he walked away from it.

I re-watched Iannone's torpedo job several times.
I looked at the sector times, and he was catching JLo, but at a rapidly accelerating rate.
Lap 16, JLo lost 0.652 sec to Iannone, which is a lot for one lap.
I think he just didn't realize how quick he was closing on JLo, left his braking a fraction of a second too long, then squeezed a bit too hard and got it out of shape.
Let off the brake to collect it, and ran out of room.
Didn't look like it was an attempt at a pass.
In a lot of ways, similar to when Pedrosa lost it under braking and torpedoed Dovi.
But Iannone's got a recent rep for reckless riding, and he took out a championship contender.
And he's perceived to be buddy-buddy with Rossi, and took out one of Rossi's legitimate rivals.

All the BS aside, Vale just rides the piss out of the bike. I was glad to see that Lorenzo wasn't getting away, happier still to see him go backwards (purely for the entertainment value in the points chase). Crazy Joe.............SMH. He has lost any benefit of the doubt for a very long time.

I really figured MM would let Vale go after he lost the front in the chicane, but he hung on and made the race interesting.

After the race I when Vale went to shake hands I simply assumed it was with Pedro, I was SHOCKED to see it was with MM. I don't necessarily need to see the two of them walking down the front straight holding hands, but it was nice to see them interact the way they did.

C'mon Assen!!

I agree with Pol. If you go back to Pedrosa/Dovi's crash you'll see that Pedrosa has a huge moment and that causes him to lose it. Iannone went into the corner super hot unnecessarily.

I saw an interview with him, and he said pretty much the same. JLo was much slower in that turn, compared to previous lap, and he realized that until it was too late.

Eventually is "fangulo", but pronounced that way (in Italian) is a southy slang for "vaffanculo" (fsck off).
But Dall'Igna is from Piemonte, and Piemontese is one of the few slangs I am not very familiar with, so can't help there

Seems that JLo was braking oddly during that turn and Iannone didnt catch onto it until it was too late. Pol was behind him and said Ianonne used the same braking point etc... the fault still placed on Iannone as he should have tried to go outside of Jlo vs inside. So not a true repeat of taking out Dovi but still a screw up.

Inane, I mean Iannone, had been steadily gaining on Lorenzo for the previous 2-3 laps...I was thinking that all he had to do was draft behind Lorenzo until the start/finish straight and then fly past him in Ducati style...someone needs to give Iannone an IQ test.

Did Lorenzo offer an explanation for why he fell so far behind? Slippery tires, again?

This was something which Lorenzo acknowledged after the race. "Rossi, with the same bike, didn't have so much graining," he told us. "Looks like he rides differently than me and he can save more the front tire, normally. Also, he is very good in difficult conditions, in conditions with no grip. Today he made an unbelievable race. I could not ride like him and could not change my riding style to avoid the front tire problems, in all the weekend. This is the truth."

Yep. They all got a lesson in perspective.

The one thing I learned from the article was that the Michelin tires haven't changed much from 2007. I believe that was the last year Rossi rode them. That gives him a tremendous advantage.
