welcome and congrats on removing the frame stickers, they bug the shit out of me.

I forgot the one on the swingarm.  ...I hate stickers!

I left the one on the swingarm. I am too stupid to remember the chain sag specification and too lazy to look it up when I check it.

Beautiful motorcycle. How long have you had it?  It looks like you've got it set up for distance rides.  Are those side-bag mounting frames?  Nice looking countryside too  [Dolph]

I was eyeballing those, too....   [thumbsup]

Nope... nothing super-duper... just a pic of the 796 after rolling it 6K miles on the way back from Anna.  An oil change is in it's immediate future (maybe tonight...) but the real fun will be at 7K when it gets new belts and a valve adjustment.  Still haven't decided if I'm going to do that, or just let AMS do it this time.  Finally got the last of the crap ethanol-blended fuel out; I went up to Thackerville last weekend and got 11 gallons of 91 octane non-eth fuel just for the motorcycles (and the chainsaw, mower, weed wacker, etc...) so hopefully the tank swelling will go down and that it wasn't damaged very bad.

Yes, the 650 is looking rather forlorn back against the wall.  I need to get new plates for it and then I can take it out for a spin.  I did pull the tank last week and flush the ethanol-blend fuel out... lucky, no rust or other deterioration noted.  Maybe it will stop running like crap, now...

I have one of those 650's that a friend abandoned in my barn...sans front wheel.

I think it would make a great ice racer. ;D

It probably would... with a front wheel, of course.  ;D  It would certainly be better on ice than in sand... it's a pig in the sand.

In any event, that bike is probably worth more as parts than together... eBay prices for many of the common parts are sky high, including things like the frame.  I've considered dismembering mine and selling it, but I just can't do it.  One of these days I will reward it's faithful service by taking it back to Colorado and ride the area around Pikes Peak... which is why I bought it in the first place over 20 years ago...
