This winery/restaurant (Biachet) is a 15 min ride from my place on the way to great roads. The area is best ridden on weekdays sans tourist traffic.

The GLW's phone has a bad camera, but hopefully captures some of the beauty and space of the Yarra Valley and Yarra Ranges. A great place for riding, sight seeing and wining and dining. Plenty of quaint little boutique wineries and restaurants undiscovered by tourist coaches, some hidden down miles of dirt roads.  Unfortunately I have coffee when on two wheels.
Edit.
After finishing a job this morning I'm going wine tasting through this area sampling at small boutique wineries that the large tours will ignore. Daughter is driving. [wine].
If you blokes ever visit ill show you around the area away from the tourist traps.
