Hopefully all the positive changes will trickle down to the 1200 s, 1200 and 821 to make them more appealing...but seriously contemplating a used  Streetfighter S now.

If this is more than 18K USD it will not sell well in the US. There's just too much great competition in the naked market right now. The Tuono, Super Duke, and BMW R being prime examples. If you ask me this is what the S should have been and the 1200 should have been the current S. It looks more like Ducati realized the quickly shifting performance target that this sector has and is trying to catch up. But in typical Ducati fashion they're trying to market their mistake as a winner instread of dropping the base 1200 and lowering the cost of the S.

All of my local Ducati dealers have left over stock of 1200 S models. I'm glad I skipped that GEN.

I have a 16 M1200R with 6000 miles on it that I will be selling myself to make room for a SS939S I have on order. Last month, when I told the sales manager that I was not going to trade it in, he advised me to ask for $16,200.

Hey OND Love to hear how you find the new SS. When is it due. I'm thinking of changing my ST1050 for one. I believe you used to have an ST.

I'd rather get a 1200S. Shorter wheelbase, same trick parts, I think the shock is larger too to kick the bike up. A tad less horsepower but at least it comes with cornering abs and a quickshifter that goes in both directions. (edit : 2017 Version)

I was looking at getting the 1200R (the 796 is paid off) but 20K is ALOT. I'm contemplating the 959 (Artic white) Panigale. I know the riding position is totally aggressive and this will be my first fully faired bike. The new monsters look so fat with all of the water cooled nonsense up front. IMHO.
